There are three principle activities.
- Being out and about: undertaking thematic walking tours and making site visits
- Presentations from guest speakers
- Small group research tasks.
*note: your field week will have some differences to the image above – key differences to look out for include – A talk from your biodiversity officer and a look at an art exhibition before you engage in the City of London walks as well the use of an app for looking at green spaces. See: http://www.thecitycentre.london/exhibitions-events/. There will also be an extra day of being out and about recording environmental information and activity along London canals which is being organised by Prof. Geraldene Wharton in association with the London branch of the Canal and River Trust (for the Thursday). Your final discussion and presentations will take place on the Friday in the Ecology Pavilion in Mile End Park.
I hope you enjoy exploring!
